Orange marigolds are one of my favorite flowers.

These are marigolds. They are annuals, planted from seeds or purchased as small plants in the Spring. They start to bloom in July and last until after the first few frosts. Large image size: 640x480

These are mandevilla flowers. Mandevilla is a fast growing vine that comes in pink and it white. In Virginia these are not Winter hardy and have to be brought inside.Large image size: 640x480

Abby bought mums in the bud stage so that they would bloom at home. She also picke up some galvanized buckets. The galvanized buckets lend that nice country down home look. Decorating with flower is easy.Large image size: 640x480
Wonderful orange/yellow mums. Remember to buy plants with buds, not already in flower. The galvanized bucket is a nice touch, and covers the plain plastic pot. Abby just placed the store-bought plant into the bucket. No repotting necessary. Water daily.Large image size: 640x480

This delicate flower is the evening primrose. The are perennial and grow like mad. Evening primrose will spread through your flower beds if you let them go, but they aren't too hard to control. Large image size: 1024x768 makes great wallpaper!

Pokeberry is a nice, deep purple berry. Poisonous, but pretty to look at. The plants are perennials and get REALLY big. Poke is generally considered a weed. Large image size: 1024x768 makes great wallpaper!
