Where to lube the window regulator. Don't remove that green tubing
- it is very difficult to get back on. I'd recommend cutting a little
hole in it, and pumping in plenty of oil. The bottom end of the tubing
sits in a pocket at the bottom, front of the door. Probably keeps it
from rattling.
The arrow shows a hole I cut in the green tubing so I could put oil
on the "cable" that raises and lowers the window. It would
be good to get some oil on the part that is in the track over at the
window end, but VW has made this almost impossible. The "cable"
thing is a twisted, single strand wire with brush stuff wrapped up in
it. Just squirt oil on this while rolling the window up and down. Maybe
some WD 40 (solvent and oil mix).
