My plan is to design a simple bracket that bolts to the door hinge, and allows you to add the mirror of your choice. For an off road Baja, I'll want something nice and big, and something that will fold if a tree smacks it.

There's a reason very few Bugs have passenger side mirrors. One of the suppliers has the round passenger side mirror, and the pin that goes in the top of the door hinge. However, it's pricy - about $50 for both. I think the supplier is Rocky Mountain Restorations.

The owner of a parts shop in Lynchburg explained to me that except a few late models, VW didn't put passenger (left) side mirrors on bugs.
